Besides leading tours in Thailand, we can assist both visitors and residents with a variety of other services. If you require something that is not on the list below, please ask and we’ll let you know if we can arrange it for you.
We can arrange a car and English-speaking driver at a lower price than the international car rental chains. We can also pick you up at or deliver you to the airport in Khon Kaen, Udon Thani, or Bangkok or to the Lao and Cambodian borders.
From dusty villages to glitzy shopping malls and from buffalo grazing in rice paddies to elephants tramping through the jungle, we can find the perfect places for film and television crews.
We can set you up with professional traditional Thai massage instruction. You can study various methods of Thai massage with licensed teachers who can speak English and Japanese. Thai too, of course.
We have thousands of high-quality (shot with DSLRs) images from across the country, especially Isan, including many obscure and seldom visited places that are unlikely to be in the collections of most stock photography agencies. And if you need a shot we don’t have, we can go take it. Tim took nearly all the photos for this website and sells stock photography with Getty Images.
Thai Language Lessons
If you want to study Thai language (or Isan language) there isn’t a better place to do it than Khon Kaen. There is no formal Thai language school offering group classes, as there are in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, and a few other cities. However, we can set you up to study Thai with a private tutor for about the same price (often cheaper) as group classes at most language schools.
Isan Explorer can arrange for you to assist teaching English at some under-privileged schools either in Khon Kaen city or the surrounding countryside. It can be either in-class instruction or after-school tutoring and you can make a difference even if you only have a few hours available. Because we try to assist the people of Isan in every way we can, we will gladly make these arrangements for you for free. Just ask.
